Our client, a well-renowned Educational Institution in the UAE, has an immediate requirement for an IT Operations Director - UAE Nationals only. The purpose of the role is the direction, leadership, and administration of the IT Service Department. This includes accountability for department staffing, productivity, and enhancement of employees.

Responsibilities:

1. Direct the management and operation of IT infrastructure and communication networks.
2. Review existing systems and create new and enhanced methods.
3. Develop and manage department budgets, perform cost analysis, and devise cost reduction methods.
4. Oversee the staffing of the department to ensure work is completed effectively and efficiently.
5. Evaluate vendors and proposals for additional services, products, and equipment.
6. Provide leadership in the development and implementation of new systems.
7. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of state-of-the-art equipment and leading-edge technologies.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in IT; a Master's would be an advantage.
2. Minimum of 5-6 years of experience.
3. Team Management is essential.
4. Experience in writing and reviewing technical Request for Proposal.
5. Proven track record in the implementation of IT systems to enhance organizational performance.
