• A Logistics Administrator plays a crucial role in the management and coordination of the flow of goods, services, and information within a company’s supply chain. This position involves overseeing and optimizing the processes of transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Logistics Administrators help businesses reduce costs, improve delivery times, and maintain quality standards while ensuring compliance with regulations.

• Take initiative to learn and understand the process to fulfill the need of the department and at the same time gain knowledge to work independently in the future.
• Support the OTC team in processing customer orders and closing sales orders and purchase orders in the system on time - Clear GR/IR and avoid GIT by timely booking of cost invoices and billing.
• Coordinate with partners, planners, and GLSC for the timely processing and delivery of direct orders.
• Support / assist in generating reports and compiling data for the weekly predictive tool.
• Ensure proper and timely communication to customers regarding supply chain and delivery issues.
• Ensure (and clarify in some cases) documentation requirements from suppliers and customers.
• Ensure proper recording of information (SharePoint) related to logistics and make it available as required.
• Ensure that the movement of products within the periphery of logistics is in compliance with export and import rules of Siemens.

Your expertise and qualifications:

• Knowledge of ERP Systems and strong IT skills.
• Broad understanding of supply chain management and its components.
• Strong communication skills, persuasive and influential with logistics partners, and good interpersonal skills.

1. Supply Chain Management

• Order processing: Coordinating and managing incoming orders, ensuring they are accurately processed, and facilitating the movement of products through the supply chain.
• Inventory management: Monitoring inventory levels, ensuring stock availability, and keeping accurate records of inventory movements and stock counts.
• Supply chain coordination: Working closely with suppliers, warehouses, transportation teams, and other departments to ensure the smooth flow of goods and services.
• Demand forecasting: Assisting with demand planning and inventory forecasting to ensure stock levels meet customer demand without overstocking.

2. Transportation Management

• Shipping coordination: Managing shipments by selecting appropriate carriers, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely transportation of goods.
• Route optimization: Analyzing delivery routes to improve efficiency and reduce transportation costs, often using software tools for route planning.
• Freight forwarding: Working with freight companies and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to coordinate the movement of goods both domestically and internationally.
• Carrier selection: Evaluating and selecting shipping carriers based on cost, reliability, and delivery speed, and managing relationships with third-party logistics providers.

3. Warehouse Management

• Warehouse coordination: Managing the flow of goods within warehouses, ensuring products are properly stored, picked, packed, and shipped.
• Stock control: Maintaining accurate inventory records in the warehouse, ensuring that stock levels match the system data and are replenished as needed.
• Space optimization: Ensuring the effective use of warehouse space to maximize storage capacity and minimize costs.
• Order fulfillment: Ensuring that orders are processed efficiently, from picking the right items to packaging and labeling them for shipment.

4. Documentation and Compliance

• Customs documentation: Preparing and reviewing all required import/export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin, to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
• Regulatory compliance: Ensuring that all logistics operations comply with national and international laws, such as customs regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
• Shipping documents: Ensuring the accuracy and completion of shipping documents, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and shipping labels.

5. Data Management and Reporting

• Tracking and monitoring: Using software systems to track and monitor the status of shipments, deliveries, and inventory, and ensuring that orders are delivered on time.
• Reporting: Creating regular reports on logistics performance, such as delivery times, inventory levels, and transportation costs, and presenting this data to management.
• Logistics software: Proficiency in using logistics software and systems, such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
