A leading global e-commerce company is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Fleet Strategy, Planning, and Programs in the AMET region. The ideal candidate will leverage analytical skills to optimize fleet operations and strategic partnerships. Responsibilities include demand planning, vendor management, and improving DSP partner experience. This position requires approximately 30% travel across the region and a passion for operational excellence. Candidates should have experience in logistics and analytical tools.
At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. One customer experience that we're constantly looking to take to a new level is how we fulfill and deliver orders. Our goal is to exceed the expectations of all our customers. To meet this goal, Amazon is continually striving to innovate and provide best-in-class service levels through the introduction of pioneering new products and services in the last mile delivery space.
The AMET (Africa, Middle East and Turkey) Fleet organization is responsible for managing and growing Amazon's Last Mile Fleet across the region. We are seeking an exceptional Senior Manager to lead Fleet Strategy, Planning and Programs for the AMET (Africa, Middle East, and Turkey) region — one of our fastest-growing and most dynamic markets.
In this pivotal role, you will be the strategic architect of AMET's fleet operations, responsible for the complete fleet lifecycle from demand forecasting and procurement to operational excellence and partner experience. You'll leverage sophisticated analytical modeling to predict fleet requirements years in advance, drive operational excellence through data-driven insights, and ensure our Delivery Service Partners (DSPs) have the tools and support they need to succeed.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of Amazon's logistics capabilities in a high-growth region. You'll work at the intersection of strategy, operations, analytics, and partnership management driving decisions that impact hundreds of millions of dollars in capital investments while building the foundation for sustainable growth.
The ideal candidate combines deep analytical capabilities with strong business acumen and exceptional stakeholder management skills. You'll need to be equally comfortable building sophisticated forecasting models, coaching operations teams on best practices, and presenting strategic recommendations to senior leadership. You'll thrive in ambiguity, design scalable solutions for emerging markets, and have a commitment to operational excellence and customer obsession.
This role requires approximately 30% travel across the AMET region to build relationships, conduct operational assessments, and drive change management initiatives.
Your day will be dynamic, strategic, and highly impactful. You might start by reviewing overnight fleet utilization data across AMET markets, identifying a pattern of underutilization in one country and overdemand in another—prompting you to coordinate a cross-border vehicle transfer. You'll join a strategic planning session with Finance to present your updated 18-month fleet forecast, defending your assumptions and securing approval for a significant vehicle procurement order.
Mid-morning, you'll dive into your forecasting model, adjusting parameters based on new network Operations team, then run scenario analyses to understand the impact on CAPEX requirements.
After lunch, you might review DSP feedback survey results, identifying a recurring theme about maintenance delays. You'll brainstorm solutions with the maintenance vendor and draft a proposal for a new preventive maintenance program. You'll then prepare for your afternoon executive business review, creating visualizations that tell a compelling story about fleet performance trends and your strategic recommendations.
Late afternoon brings a call with regional fleet managers across Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey—you're coaching them on a new audit framework and gathering their input on local market dynamics that should inform your demand forecast. You wrap up your day by analyzing repair cost trends, identifying an opportunity to consolidate vendors and save on OPEX.
Throughout, you're the critical link ensuring our fleet remains reliable, safe, cost-efficient, and perfectly sized to meet customer demand—balancing analytical rigor with operational pragmatism and strategic thinking.
