We are seeking the services of a self-motivated and proactive Senior Library Assistant to work collaboratively in a team to support open scholarship activities. The role provides second level support for tasks related to user services, open scholarship as well as research support to the University community.
Main Duties And Responsibilities Will Include
- Accredited Journals and Transformative Agreements
- Bibliometric data retrieval and analysis
- UWCScholar activities (Publications and ETDs)
- Research support activities and training programmes
- In-person and virtual reference services
- Compile reports and perform other functions under the designated manager/s
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements (Qualification and Experience)
- A Bachelor of Library & Information Science or an equivalent library qualification
- Two years’ working experience in an academic or research library setting
Required Competencies (skills, Knowledge And Behavioural Attributes)
- Knowledge of library management systems
- Knowledge of institutional repositories
- Knowledge of citation analysis
- Exposure of online reference platform
- Planning and organisation
- Knowledge of MS 365 Office
