We are a cultural history museum committed to preserving, interpreting and sharing South Africa's diverse cultural history and heritage.

Essential Requirements
  • Grade 12 with History or Tourism
  • Accreditation as a site/tour guide
  • 2 year's experience in museum as a gallery/site guide
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Fluency in English and IsiZulu/Afrikaans
Key Responsibilities
  • Open and close site
  • Welcome visitors and take them through exhibitions
  • Record visitor numbers
  • Daily check of museum exhibits
  • Report all maintenance required
  • Ensure cleanliness of the house
  • Assist in planning and organising museum events including setting up venues, performing and cleaning afterwards
  • Manage and sell stock at the house and do stock counts quarterly
  • Compile monthly reports
  • Market the museum to various audiences
