Key Responsibilities
Quantity Surveying
• Prepare and analyze detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and material schedules for construction projects.
• Evaluate construction bids, proposals, and quotations to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
• Monitor project costs, track expenses, and provide regular updates to stakeholders on budgetary status.
Prepare measurements and tender documentation
• Assist in drafting preliminaries and trade preambles
• Assist in the review of technical specifications prepared by technical consultants
• Process measurements into various forms of contract bills
• Prepare a schedule of rates
• Conduct measurements, admeasurements, and re-measurements
• Procurement advice and assistance during the tendering procedures.
Design Engineering
• Develop detailed design drawings, plans, and specifications for construction projects using CAD software.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Review and modify design plans based on feedback, site conditions, and project requirements.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, building codes, and industry best practices.
• Conduct quality inspections, site visits, and reviews to monitor construction progress and quality of workmanship.
• Implement quality assurance procedures, corrective actions, and documentation to maintain project integrity.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in design engineering, quantity surveying, or a similar role within the Singapore construction industry.
• Able to work independently with minimum guidance and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in CAD software, quantity surveying tools, and project management software.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in design and quantity calculations
