Quantity Surveyor (Marine/ Construction/ Tender and Contract)

Responsibilities:

• Supports the Tender and Bidding Team by measuring quantities, preparing the Bill of Quantities, reviewing contracts and drawings, interpreting specifications, and managing requests for information and clarification.
• Handles and supervises contract management of designated projects, including procurement of materials, main contract, subcontract administration, and analysis of price comparisons and costing summaries.
• Assists in sourcing and comparing suitable three (3) quotations for project material requests, liaising with suppliers, and monitoring project order schedules.
• Prepares and submits monthly progress claims, variation orders, and final account settlements, ensuring all invoices are submitted in a timely manner.
• Assesses subcontractor progress claims, issues payment responses, and manages final payments.
• Handles issues related to extension of time, terms and conditions, prolongation claims, and loss and expense claims.
• Performs other QS-related duties.

Requirements:

• Diploma in quantity surveying, civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of work experience in quantity surveying.
• Experience with tender and contract management.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software/tools and experience in sourcing and purchasing.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
