Junior Financial Analyst

Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to join our team in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) office. In this role, you will work with the senior financial analyst to provide insights into Integrated Facility Management (IFM) Project in the region as well as to assist the senior financial analyst in various tasks to steer business and budget.

Integrated Facility Management (IFM) Project

1. Assist the senior financial analyst in baselining cost for the region.
2. Support the Finance workstream activities.
3. Perform grouping of costs into different categories across the Region.
4. Assist the senior financial analyst in developing a dashboard that can steer the costing and benefits of IFM.
5. Support the IFM project in adhoc tasks to ensure smooth go live.

Cost Control and Analysis

1. Support Senior Financial Analyst on cost variance analysis on all cost centers (i.e GS, RO, C and GR).
2. Deep dive into the cost line items and provide commentaries on deviations against the budget.
3. Highlight and proactively reach out to controlling HoD and department HoDs to discuss cost deviation topics.

Other Tasks

1. Assist in planning of events that will take place in the region.
2. Assist adhoc projects coming from ASEAN project coordinator when needed.

Requirements

1. To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting related field.
2. 1-2 years of audit/commercial experience.
3. You must be competent in data analytics and possess structural thinking; good understanding of accounting, costing, management reporting processes, and proficiency in Oracle Hyperion, SAP, and MS Office. Candidates competent in Python and Power BI will have an added advantage.
4. You must be fluent in oral and written English, detail-oriented, and willing to work under pressure.
