Job Title: 5 Axis Milling Setter, Operator, Programmer

Job Description:

As a 5 Axis Milling Setter, Operator, and Programmer, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming Hurco 5 Axis Milling machines. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the production of high-precision components while adhering to quality standards and maintaining efficiency in the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Setup & Operation:

1. Set up and operate Hurco 5 Axis Milling machines.
2. Ensure machines are properly calibrated and running efficiently.
3. Monitor and adjust machine settings during production to maintain optimal performance.

Programming:

1. Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Hurco WinMax online programming software.
2. Utilize offline CAM programming software to develop complex toolpaths and programs for 5 Axis operations.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve programming and machine issues as they arise.

Quality Control & Inspection:

1. Conduct regular quality checks using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMM).
2. Ensure components meet customer specifications and industry standards.
3. Perform regular maintenance on machines to ensure continued high-performance.

Collaboration & Reporting:

1. Work closely with production teams to ensure the smooth flow of manufacturing processes.
2. Report any machine breakdowns, tooling issues, or program errors to supervisors.
3. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce downtime.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience setting up, operating, and programming Hurco 5 Axis Milling machines.
2. Proficiency in WinMax online programming software.
3. Experience with offline CAM programming for 5 Axis milling operations.
4. Strong understanding of CNC machining techniques, tooling, and cutting strategies.
5. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. Good communication and teamwork skills.
9. Relevant qualifications in CNC machining or equivalent experience.
