We’re looking for someone who wants to learn about computing data at scale, building robust systems, and loves to learn and keep up with the latest cloud computing technology. INRIX has multiple positions and teams we are hiring for. We will use your background and interests to guide you to the position that fits you best. We’re looking for software engineers who can play a big role in one of these areas:

• Realtime and historical traffic data services
• Map data processing
• Mobility data calculation

What you’ll do:

• Work as part of a small team building and testing scalable, reliable, and efficient data driven systems.
• Work on high profile systems that substantially impact the company's bottom line.
• Work with partner teams to regularly deploy and monitor these systems to ensure optimum up time with minimal impact to customers.
• We’re a small company with a broad reach and must think creatively to make things efficient, deal with the variabilities of the real world, and solve customer problems. Got ideas? We want to hear them.

About you:

• Software Engineer with 2+ years of experience in production level software development, architecture and design are a plus.
• Solid coding skills, including proficiency in Java and at least a basic understanding of Python.
• Familiarity with databases (relational, document and key-value), and associated query languages, such as SQL.
• Familiarity building services and REST based APIs for internal and external data delivery.
• Familiarity with one or more of the following would also be beneficial:
• Scala
• AWS services like Kinesis, RDS, Elasticache, S3, Athena, Data pipeline, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Spark, EC2, ECS, CloudWatch or Elastic Beanstalk
• Jenkins or similar tools would also be a plus.
• A team player - we highly regard collaboration.
• Knowledge or willingness to learn about dealing with big data.
• Bachelor or advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, or related discipline preferred.
