The company is financially stable and growing as well as having a full order book.

Key aspects of the Control System Engineer role include:
  1. Being able to program Siemens PLCs (and ideally Rockwell) is key - 80% of the projects delivered are based on Siemens (as they're a Siemens partner).
  2. Successful Control System Engineer should expect variety! No two jobs are the same. The company is a bespoke manufacturing company and works with a range of clients who have a range of requirements in terms of scope, expectations and timescales.
  3. Modbus & OPC experience are highly desirable.
  4. Knowledge of condition monitoring systems (Bentley Nevada, B&K, Emerson), Exor HMIs, IIoT and Functional/Machine Safety would be an advantage.
  5. Control System Engineers applying could have experience in the Chemical, Petrochemical or Oil and Gas industry; while this would be useful, it's not essential.
  6. Preparation of design documentation including I/O lists, FDS, SDI, SDS, FAT/SAT Test documents.
  7. The company has a policy of being open to Control System Engineers attending training courses and encourages career development and progression.
  8. Expect a rough split of being office based 70% of the time, 20% site work in the UK, 10% on site internationally.
  9. Overseas (non-Europe) - all hours paid to Control System Engineers are double time or x2.5 standard rate, depending on location, and all hours worked in Europe are paid at x1.5.
  10. Typical time spent on a site visit ranges from one day to one month.
  11. Office hours are 8.00 - 16.30 Monday - Thursday and 8.00 - 13.00 Friday.

The office is based in West Yorkshire and is easily commutable from Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Halifax and the surrounding towns.
