Your Job:
Engaging with runners is key for this role, being forward thinking and connecting with runners across strategic CRM partners and social platforms with a focus on parkrun, Great Run, RunThrough. This role also plays a key role in showcasing Brooks campaigns, brand positioning, ambassadors and athletes across all digital platforms including Brooks.co.uk and all social channels. Community management is all about listening with empathy, gathering context, identifying opportunities/problems, and coming up with solutions that will further a brand's exposure and customer affinity.
As the Brooks Social Media and Digital Marketing Coordinator, your role is to monitor and connect with runners via partners CRM and social to start conversations and build relationships with members of the Brooks community through social engagement. You will support our Events and Communities marketing team to build on insights from the community and share learnings with our Marketing, eCommerce, Sales, and Product teams to inform product and business decisions. In short, you are an extension of the Brooks brand, and often, our first line of defense.
Great communication skills, a passion for the Brooks mission "to inspire people to run and be active" and a love for social media engagement is key to your success in this position!
Your Responsibilities:
- Activate the seasonal and always on digital plans including CRM, Social and Display with strategic partners and report back on monthly results under supervision of the Events and Communication Marketing Manager.
- Identify and connect with fans, super users, Brooks Running Collective influencers and advocates to increase reach and engagement.
- Be the first point of contact for runners via our UK & Ireland Social Media Channels.
- Grow, engage with and advocate for the Brooks audience by coordinating the execution of seasonal plans with communities on owned social channels (Facebook, Instagram).
- Produce simple in the moment local social content aimed at engaging with audiences around key product launches, events, life in office, running moments.
- Assist with building seasonal social and email plans covering all key campaigns, brand partners, ambassadors, athletes, and run communities.
- Create social media briefs for influencers and Brooks Running Collective to activate plans across owned social platforms under supervision of the Events and Communications Marketing Manager.
- Work closely with Events and Communications Marketing Manager on developing local video storytelling content for owned social channels and partners.
- Support the Marketing team with positive, brand appropriate and engaging social copy, stories and reels and reply to users on all social platforms.
- Support Events and Communications Manager with parkrun social asset creation, and weekly parkrun newsletter content.
- Fill in the Quarterly report template for selected Tier 1 partners, social media, and competitor analysis and present to the marketing team in Quarterly report meeting under supervision of the Events and Communication Marketing Manager.
- Monitor conversations across competitor groups, escalate strategic attacks on product, and flag competitor trends.
- Work with EMEA eComm and Digital Teams on proofreading copy for brooksrunning.co.uk.
- Support local Marketing Team at select events across the UK & Ireland for partners and retailers.
- Provide hands on support to the broader marketing team across Digital Media, PR, Influencers, Events and eComm as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field, preferred.
- 1+ years of professional community and/or social media experience required.
- 1+ years of experience writing social media copy.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications, required.
- Knowledge and understanding of Instagram and Facebook platforms.
- Ability to develop and communicate a point of view.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task detailed projects.
- Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company.
- Clear and articulate communication skills both verbal and written.
- Willingness to help, support and get the job done when team members are in a crunch.
- Proactive, self-starter and is hungry to learn about and implement new types of marketing processes.
