The Engineering team

In our engineering team, we build the infrastructure, interfaces, and applications to provide first-class service to our members, health professionals, and even ourselves! Being an engineer at Alan means joining a team of talented, committed and passionate engineers, with a lot of product interaction.

We move fast, with a lot of ownership, and are proud to tackle big problems! Our process is very simple: those who make product decisions are the same ones who build them. Our stack is React Native, React, Python/Flask and PostgreSQL.

Health Offering

The Health Offering Area turns your phone into your personal health partner. We empower members to own their well-being with the same ease they manage their daily lives. We combine medical expertise, tech innovation, and delightful design to make healthcare not just accessible, but actually enjoyable.

What We Build

• A seamless health shopping experience that delivers 500 orders weekly, from quality eyewear to wellbeing products, making health purchases as simple as any online shopping.
• A Clinic powered by 150 health professionals enhanced by AI-powered efficiency for personalized care, supporting more than 6000 members every week.
• Health Programs are dedicated to enhancing well-being, focusing on alleviating back pain and supporting mental health.
• An engaging experience that transforms behaviours: our users boost their daily steps by an average of 1,000.
• Prevention services that help HR teams build healthier workplaces, turning wellness from a perk into a daily habit.

Is it you we’re looking for?

We Are Looking For Engineers With 5+ Years Of Experience To Help Us Scale Our Engineering Community From Different Perspectives (product, Tech, And Internal Organization-wise)

• You’ll be able to tackle high-impact & high-risk projects involving many engineers.
• You’ll design efficient systems and engineering practices to align with and facilitate interactions between multiple teams/products.
• You’ll have the opportunity to mentor other engineers & lead crews.
• You’ll be able to contribute to hiring your future coworkers and shape candidates’ hiring experience.

You would be a good fit at Alan if most of this sounds like you:

• Passionate about creating delightful products with exceptional user experiences.
• Good experience building and shipping mobile applications.
• Willing to work with TypeScript/Python in a cross-platform environment.
• Well-versed in Object-Oriented Programming (Python, Java, Swift, Kotlin, C#) and comfortable with modern web technologies.
• Self-starting and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Humble and still willing to grow.
• Collaborative, enthusiastic about teamwork, learning, and teaching.
• Fluent in English.
