Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting applications for the permanent, full-time position of Business Analyst in the Asset Management division of Finance & Asset Management.

The Business Analyst supports asset management analysis initiatives and service improvement reviews across HRM. The Business Analyst also provides ongoing support for the Asset Management Office, contributing to requirements gathering activities, performing gap analysis, recording requirements traceability, supporting user acceptance testing processes, and participating in small projects.
The Business Analyst lends skills and support to the Senior Business Analysts for their design and implementation of new or modified business processes and organizational structures which deliver a leaner and more efficient business, while maintaining and improving customer service delivery.
The Business Analyst is a developing subject matter expert in business process re-engineering and continuous improvement efforts, working with business teams from across the organization to identify and scope re-engineering initiatives, develop testing and training materials, and monitor effective use of current asset management systems.
The Business Analyst is a collaborator, working with management and staff to implement best practices and to ensure process objectives are met so the intended benefits are realized, acting as a bridge between the business and the technologists in the support of project delivery and improving business operational effectiveness and efficiency.

WORK STATUS: Permanent, full-time
HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm; 35 hours per week. Flex options to work outside of these hours and hybrid may be available.
SALARY: NU6 on the non-union salary scale; $71,650-$92,730. Salary will be commensurate with education and years of applicable experience.
