Contract Data Analyst Role - Remote Work Opportunity!

Agilus is recruiting for a Data Analyst in the IT sector in Toronto, Ontario. We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support an ERP migration project for a leading energy client. This role will focus predominantly on data preparation, with a balance of backend technical work and client-facing interactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL and Python, along with excellent communication skills to effectively manage task status and gather requirements.

1. Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines to support ERP migration. Develop and optimize SQL queries and Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
2. Communicate effectively with clients to understand data requirements, gather insights, and provide updates on task status. Collaborate with client stakeholders to ensure alignment on data needs and migration goals.
3. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes and procedures. Provide clear explanations of data transformations and integrations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
4. Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity throughout the migration process.
5. Identify and resolve issues related to data discrepancies, inconsistencies, or migration challenges in a timely manner.

1. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in data analysis or a similar role, with significant experience in both SQL and Python.
2. Previous experience migrating to MS Dynamics environment is an asset.
3. Proficiency in SQL for complex queries and data manipulation.
4. Strong programming skills in Python for data processing and automation.

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, understanding their needs, and conveying technical information effectively.
2. Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and manage client expectations. Experience in a client-facing role is highly desirable.
3. Fluency in French and English is an asset, but not a hard requirement.
