We’re recruiting Group Director Treasury for one of our clients based in Dubai, UAE.

About Our Client:

Our client is a leading multinational logistics company based in Dubai, UAE. With a strong global presence, the company excels in providing comprehensive logistics solutions including cargo handling, port terminal operations, maritime services, and the management of free trade zones worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

1. To lead the designing, implementation, and management of the cash management structures for the global freight forwarding business.
2. To develop and implement a treasury strategy with the aim to efficiently fund the working capital requirements of the freight forwarding business and manage cross-border funds flow.
3. Set up a cash management structure for the freight forwarding business which manages liquidity across the global branch network.
4. Implement, maintain, or improve the day-to-day treasury requirements for the freight forwarding business.
5. Manage the cash position to optimize return on capital employed.
6. Provide leadership, guidance, policies, and training to regional finance managers responsible for freight forwarding branches on how to effectively manage liquidity and currency finance based on thresholds in a delegated authority matrix agreed with Group Treasury.
7. Oversee inter-group funding structures and cash settlement.
8. Work closely with Group Tax and Group Legal to ensure that funding structures are tax efficient and compliant with local laws and regulations in the geographies where the branch network operates.
9. Manage bank guarantees where required.
10. Oversee and negotiate ABL structures (Factoring) where applicable.
11. Perform foreign currency and interest rate hedging in close collaboration with Head Office Treasury.
12. Support group treasury on funding processes within the region.
13. Report on cash positions, cash forecasts, and seek funding for shortfalls.
14. Work with statutory auditors and internal auditors.

1. Masters degree in finance.
2. 7 to 10 years experience in the management of a treasury function in logistics/freight forwarding business.
3. Solid experience in implementation of cash pool structure.
