· Visiting job sites to analyse space availability, design needs and the purpose of the space.
· Attending meetings to understand the design needs and preferences regarding interior styles and colours.
· Conceptualize and sketch design plans.
· Determine cost of completion and project requirements in the budgeting phase.
· Set a timeline for the completion of an interior design project.
· Source materials and products included in plans.
· Create 'mood boards' to sample your design vision.
· Utilize computer applications in the design process.
· Inspect design after completion to determine whether client goals have been met.
· Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
· Ensuring project deadlines are met.
· Providing administrative support as needed.
· Undertaking project tasks as required.
· Creating CAD designs and detailed briefs for workers and supervisors.
· Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
· Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
· Proven work experience as an Interior Designer.
· Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
· Ability to meet deadlines.
· BSc in Engineering, Architecture or degree from a technical college.
