About the role

Bloom Holding is seeking a skilled Assistant Manager – Interior Design who possesses a creative outlook and meticulous attention to detail to make valuable contributions to our expanding team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The Assistant Manager for Interior Design will be responsible for providing support across all phases of architecture and interior design, pertaining to residential projects including conducting research, developing design studies, preparing documentation, managing FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment), drafting, and maintaining the design library.

Some specific responsibilities for this position:

• Coordinate and provide assistance for design activities across various disciplines within the design team.
• Oversee all design-related documentation directly and ensure it is maintained and controlled.
• Collaborate with the Design Manager to create internal research and benchmark documents and keep them updated.
• Develop test layouts, design materials, presentations, and project timelines.
• Create and manage project schedules and obtain necessary approvals.
• Research and procure high-quality interior products, including custom items, fixtures, soft furnishings, lighting, furniture, sanitary ware, artwork, and accessories, in line with project requirements.
• Coordinate and review processes for mockups, show units, villas, or apartments to ensure final implementation meets standards.
• Liaise as an expert with local vendors for architectural and interior design functions, providing necessary information during the design and construction phases.
• Maintain records of prequalification and updates for architectural and design consultants.
• Ensure compliance with Bloom processes for review of architectural and design consultant work, monitor deviations, analyze issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders, fostering long-term, integrated teams.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director - Design to ensure satisfaction with architectural and interior design aspects.
• Conduct regular meetings with the Executive Director - Design and architects/Head of MEP Division to review standards, procedures, and project-related design matters.

Requisite Qualification, Education, and experience

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design/Architecture & Graphic Design is required, along with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Real Estate Developer environment or worked on residential projects, including 3 years in the UAE. A keen attention to detail and demonstrated proficiency in space planning is necessary. You should also have a track record of having worked on residential projects in creating precise, clear, and visually appealing presentations. Experience in the UAE is crucial, and candidates must possess a solid understanding of design principles. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp, and MS Office is essential.
