Job Purpose
The GTS-FI Sales & Client Management Team Lead will lead high-performing sales and account management teams, driving growth across various FIG and GLC segments. This role requires a proven track record of developing strategic sales plans, managing key accounts to maximize profitability and client satisfaction, and exceeding revenue targets.
The successful candidate will leverage a consultative selling model to foster strong client relationships, analyze client needs, and recommend appropriate cash management, trade finance, and securities services solutions. Responsibilities include expanding existing client relationships, acquiring new-to-product clients, and securing new-to-bank prospects.
Responsibilities
This leadership role requires a highly driven and results-oriented individual to lead the GTSFI Sales & Client Management team. The successful candidate will develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to exceed revenue targets through both new business acquisition and growth within the existing client base. The candidate will also manage and develop the team members. This will involve:
- Drive Revenue Growth and Account Management:
- Oversee the team to achieve and exceed revenue targets across all GTS products relevant to the FI and GLC segments.
- Develop and implement strategic account growth plans to maximize relationships from existing clients through cross-selling and up-selling opportunities, ensuring successful mandate implementation and revenue realization.
- Leverage data to optimize team performance, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze sales data, and implement corrective actions to optimize performance.
- Proactively identify and pursue new-to-product and bank opportunities. Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans, cultivate a robust sales pipeline, and secure mandates from prospects.
- Leverage digital channels to engage prospects and advise clients on their digital transformation journeys within traditional financial services.
- Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
- Develop and execute detailed client plans for priority accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Employ a consultative sales approach to understand clients' evolving needs and proactively position GTS solutions to address their challenges.
- Actively engage with trade finance clients to maximize utilization of DBS trade limits and ensure revenue realization.
- Leadership & Team Development:
- Foster a purposeful, collaborative, and results-oriented team culture.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales and account management team.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to support team member development and growth.
- Effectively collaborate with the bank's internal and industry stakeholders (e.g., product, operations, marketing, relationship managers, etc.) to achieve the team's goals and acquire clients.
- Partner with industry leaders and key influencers to enhance the Bank's reputation and service offerings.
Requirements
- 15-20 years of relevant experience.
- Master's degree or University Degree in Banking, Business Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven ability to thrive in a matrix organization and regional, multi-country environment.
- Strong track record of driving revenue growth from local and cross-border cash, trade, and securities financing solutions (SFS).
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more GTS product areas (cash management, trade finance, securities services), with a successful history in sales and business development.
- Leadership skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams in a demanding, target-driven environment.
- Deep understanding of industry dynamics, market trends, and client needs.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences and building lasting partnerships.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities with problem-solving skills with a data-driven and risk management approach to decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and handle sensitive and confidential information.

- Credit experience/knowledge preferred.
