Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose

To monitor and maintain the networks, application software, and hardware systems in the company; providing technical support to local and overseas staff via remote or in person and proposing cost-saving solutions to meet the needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Providing first-level helpdesk and end-user support.
2. Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and handheld scanners.
3. Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and network infrastructure from end to end – patch panels, UPS, routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, internet connectivity, VPN connectivity, etc.
4. Administration and management of physical and virtual servers (patching, updating, etc.).
5. Administration of user accounts (Active Directory, LDAP).
6. Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
7. Repairing equipment and replacing parts as required.
8. Managing backup jobs.
9. Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
10. Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
11. Maintaining records of software licenses.
12. Managing IT assets, inventory, and other IT supplies.
13. Sourcing and coordinating with vendors for procurement, maintenance, and support issues.
14. Testing and evaluating new technology.

Requirements

1. Proven 3 – 4 years of hands-on experience working in an end-user IT Support role or computer operations environment.
2. Experience in installation, setup, configuration, migration, upgrading, and maintenance of servers, PCs, OS, software, and other related peripherals.
3. Required technical troubleshooting skills for Windows 10, 11.
4. Knowledge of Windows Server 2012, 2016, and 2021.
5. Management of Active Directory and user email accounts, Symantec Endpoint Protection, and Veritas Backup Exec Virtualization preferably VMware.
6. Basic networking protocol (DNS, DHCP, VLAN) with advanced printer/peripheral device troubleshooting.
7. Support for handheld smartphones and tablets.
8. Monitor and ensure compliance with the company’s IT security policies.
9. Patch management.
10. Able to work independently and carry out day-to-day IT support with good analytical problem-solving, time management, and decision-making skills.
11. Willingness to take ownership of tasks and express interest in learning new technologies and systems.
12. A cyber-security background will be an added advantage.

Working Conditions

• Singapore based.
• 5.25 work days (alternate Saturday).
