An innovative materials company in Singapore is seeking a Circular Product Technologist to drive the validation and market research of advanced materials. You will be responsible for product specifications, testing material performance, and ensuring quality and compliance. Nandina REM is creating a new supply chain to deliver circular aviation materials to advanced manufacturing supply chains. We are an early‑stage company specialising in the use of deep tech and material science to recover, validate and productise critical resources, creating a rapidly developing market for low‑emission circular materials such as carbon fibre composites and metals.
We are seeking a Circular Product Technologist to join our growing team. In this role, you will drive the technical validation, productisation, and market research of our advanced materials in line with customer requirements and emerging opportunities. You will be responsible to put together product specifications, test material performance, and ensure the quality, safety, and compliance standards of our advanced material outputs. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying and building target market segments and optimising cross‑functional processes to bring new products and features to market. This is a highly strategic and visible role where you will have a direct impact on the company’s success and growth trajectory.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Development & Commercialisation
Design and lead rapid prototyping using NandinaREM circular materials to meet customers’ requirements.
Develop and implement go‑to‑market (GTM) strategies for new product launches and feature updates, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Identify and prioritise target markets, segments, and personas based on data and market insights.
Conduct structured product testing and qualification using ASTM/ISO standards to assess performance, durability, and compliance with industry‑specific standards.
Translate test data into clear product specifications and technical datasheets.
Support traceability and systemisation of material data for repeatability and scale‑up.
Market Research & Product‑Market Fit
Conduct targeted market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics, and use this information to influence product and marketing strategies.
Develop insights on customer segments, personas, and pain points to refine GTM strategies and ensure product‑market fit.
Monitor KPIs to track the success of GTM initiatives and optimise strategies based on performance metrics.
Technical Documentation & Communication
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to process workflows, product specifications, and technical reports.
Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders on process improvements and product development progress.
Sales Enablement & Customer Success Alignment
Collaborate with commercial and communications teams to ensure they are equipped with the tools, resources, and training needed to communicate product value effectively.
Develop enablement materials, such as product briefs, case studies, and technical data sheets, tailored to the needs of the commercial team.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Continuous Improvement
Identify and implement best practices in both product technology and process workflows.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements.
Establish feedback loops from test data, customer trials, and market signals to continuously improve material performance and positioning.
3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, product development, or product commercialisation, with strong knowledge in composites, polymers, and/or metals.
Degree in relevant engineering fields.
Proven ability to take products from prototype to production. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in engineering design tools, data analysis (Excel/Python), basic simulation interpretation. Ability to analyse data, market trends, and customer feedback to inform strategies and make data‑driven decisions.
Excellent project management and organisational skills, with a proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, prioritise tasks, and manage complex projects.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise, and compelling way.
Deep understanding of customer needs, pain points, and buying journeys within the B2B space.
Experience working with recycled or circular materials, especially carbon fibre, polymers, or metals.
Familiarity with sustainability assessment frameworks such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
Knowledge of statistical analysis for material performance data (e.g., Excel advanced functions, Python for data analysis).
Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO, Customs).
Exposure to product‑market fit validation in an early‑stage or innovation environment.
