Job Summary:
The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the café, dance and piano studio, apparel shop, and children's art centre. This role requires a versatile leader who can manage multiple aspects of the business, ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for the arts and community engagement.
Job Scopes
- Operational Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the café, dance and piano studio, apparel shop, and children's art centre
- Ensure all areas are staffed appropriately and run smoothly and efficiently
- Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity and customer service
- Financial Management
- Develop and manage budgets for each business unit
- Monitor financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability
- Prepare financial reports and provide insights to the owner/director
- Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff across all business units
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities
- Customer Service
- Ensure a high standard of customer service across all business units
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints effectively
- Develop strategies to improve customer satisfaction and retention
- Marketing and Business Development
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the café, studios, shop, and art centre
- Plan and execute events, workshops, and promotions
- Build and maintain relationships with local community groups, schools, and businesses
- Facility Management
- Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of all facilities
- Coordinate repairs and upgrades as needed
- Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory levels for the café and apparel shop
- Implement effective stock control systems
Job Requirement
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role, preferably in a similar multifaceted environment
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple business units and a diverse team
- Passion for the arts, community engagement, and customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business management software
