System Monitoring & Performance
- Perform daily remote monitoring of solar PV systems using designated monitoring platforms.
- Flag performance anomalies and assist in diagnosing underperformance or equipment failures.
- Ensure that the PV systems are performing in line with SEDA performance standards and internal KPIs and performance guarantee provide to clients.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Assist in carrying out scheduled and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Support on-site troubleshooting under the guidance of senior engineers or supervisors or manager.
- Coordinate with contractors or service teams for third-party maintenance where required.
Documentation & ISO Compliance
- Prepare and maintain e-Service Maintenance Reports, System Checking Checklists, and Corrective Maintenance Reports according to ISO standards.
- Conduct and document Toolbox Meetings before site mobilization using the company’s Toolbox Meeting form.
- Ensure timely submission and proper filing of all O&M reports (soft and hard copies) as per company documentation standards. Including customer survey form for continuous improvement.
Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with internal teams (Technical, Project, Supply Chain, HSE) and external parties (clients, subcontractors) to coordinate maintenance schedules and site access.
- Provide timely updates on site issues, actions taken, and status of works.
Asset & Inventory Support
- Assist in managing tools and materials required for site maintenance.
- Keep track of spare parts usage and flag replenishment needs to the supervisor.
- To ensure all testing equipment is in good condition and properly calibrated in accordance with ISO requirements.
System Handover Support
- Assist in the handover process from the Project team to the O&M team following PV system energization or issuance of Certificate of Practical Completion (CPC).
- Participate in site walkthroughs, documentation review, and asset listing to ensure a smooth transition to O&M phase.
- Verify readiness of system monitoring, as-built documentation, and system access credentials as part of the handover package.
- Ensure that settings are correctly configured for all new and existing projects to ensure optimal solar PV energy production.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Follow all company safety protocols and participate in HSE briefings.
- Support compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) requirements and other regulatory bodies related to solar system operation.
Learning & Development
- Participate in technical training sessions and on-the-job learning provided by the company.
- Continuously improve technical knowledge of solar PV technology, equipment, and industry standards.
Requirements
Academic Qualification:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical (Power) Engineering or equivalent.
- Candidates who possess Competency Certification, i.e.; Registered Electrical Energy Manager, Competent Electrical Supervisor or Chargeman certificate will add advantage.
- Candidates who are working on their Professional Certification i.e.; Professional Engineer, Competent Electrical Engineer, Competent Electrical Supervisor are strongly encouraged to apply.
Experiences:
- At least 1-3 years of experience in solar asset or facilities management and has experience leading O&M team.
- Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems, including components, electrical systems, and monitoring equipment.
- Technical understanding regarding AC and DC supply and NEM & Self-consumption system.
- Knowledge of performance monitoring and data analysis techniques for solar PV systems.
- Ability to define issues, analyse problems, evaluate remedial actions and able develop logical conclusions.
- Self-motivated, able to work with little supervision and have strong teamwork spirit.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and interact with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with software tools for performance monitoring and reporting.
