Randstad are looking for Qualified Social Workers to join Manchester City Council's Forensics Service on a part time basis (28 hours over 4 days).

Manchester City Council's Adult Social Care Services are committed to providing high-quality support to vulnerable adults across the city. The Forensic Social Work Team plays a crucial role in assisting individuals involved in the criminal justice system, ensuring they receive appropriate care and support to promote rehabilitation and community reintegration.

You can expect a fantastic salary of:

£36,124 - £38,626

Responsibilities:

1. You will assess and address the needs of individuals and families involved in the criminal justice system.
2. Your role will involve providing counseling, case management, and advocacy services, as well as offering expert testimony in court when required.
3. You will collaborate with various agencies to develop and implement effective support plans, aiming to reduce recidivism and enhance the well-being of service users.
4. Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of clients, including those with mental health and substance abuse issues. Develop and implement tailored intervention plans to address identified needs.
5. Provide individual and family therapy, as well as crisis intervention services, to support clients in managing challenges and facilitating positive change.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes. Participate in case conferences and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
7. Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the criminal justice system. Provide expert testimony in court as required, ensuring that clients receive fair and just treatment.
8. Work closely with criminal justice agencies, community organizations, and other service providers to coordinate and ensure the delivery of effective services.
9. Stay informed of current developments in the field of forensic social work and attend training and continuing education opportunities to maintain professional competency.

Requirements:

1. Social Work Qualification or equivalent
2. Social Work England registered
3. Enhanced DBS
