Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to develop our maintenance engineering resource aligned against our client's large, and critical Data Centre facility in Gloucester on a shift basis.
The end client is a global banking organisation, with this data centre site being highly critical to their UK&I operation.
Working with two other Shift Engineers, including the Shift Lead, you will complete standard Shift Engineering duties while assuming the role as Shift Lead when the nominal Shift Lead is unavailable due to annual leave or sickness.
The Lead duties will focus on distributing jobs to the Shift Team and ensuring completion of work while overseeing work from any supporting subcontractors.
This is a cutting-edge Data Centre facility, with a number of exciting project works also ongoing. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident Engineer looking to progress towards more of a leadership role.
Actions will include:
- Be responsible for day-to-day monitoring and maintenance ensuring engineering standards are maintained to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated M&E systems.
- Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety statutory requirements.
- Ensure onsite Quality Assurance ISO 9001-2000 procedures are adhered to in all respects and maintain accurate records/documentation associated with the M&E aspects of the PPM and plant.
- Respond promptly and effectively to all M&E related reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests.
- Co-ordinate and action all Help Desk requests from the client.
- Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared, reviewed, and utilized for all tasks (PPMs and reactive) carried out to ensure safe working practices.
- Respond to call outs and cover breakdowns and emergencies associated with the M&E services aspects of the contract as required.
- M&E fault diagnosis associated with the PPM or Reactive maintenance of the site.
- Repair M&E systems and controls associated with the installed M&E assets.
- Assist and supervise all trades as necessary/required.
- Ensure the shift engineers are undertaking work tasks as directed and with suitable H&S awareness/implementation.
- Attend team/site meetings as required including shift handover logs.
We need from you:
- Mechanical or Electrical (Electrical preference) qualifications with clear maintenance experience within Building Services/Facilities.
- Any experience within a critical environment would be highly advantageous.
