Up to £550 per week

About the role

Connex Education are working with a school in the Middlesbrough area who are looking for an experienced Classroom Support Assistant to work full time and support their Early Years Foundation Stage. They are seeking Classroom Support Assistants who are specialised, experienced and qualified to support in EYFS.

About the school

This primary school we are working with is a large mainstream primary school offering a dynamic and inclusive working environment where you will be welcomed and supported by a lovely team of teaching staff, other teaching assistants, and you will be responsible for assisting the teachers and supporting the pupils in the classroom. Within this role, you may be supporting children with special educational needs.

This Classroom Support Assistant position is offering an immediate start after Easter. You will be required to work full time, Monday – Friday between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm. An EYFS qualification and experience working in schools or nurseries is essential for this role.

Person Specification

• Nursery Assistant Qualification or Equivalent Qualification for EYFS – essential
• Experience of supporting pupils in a primary environment or within a nursery
• Confidence in working with small groups or 1:1 as a key person
• Good knowledge of Additional Needs and knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum
• Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one with Connex
