St Vincent’s Hospice is seeking a Head of Business Development to play a pivotal role in our financial sustainability and long-term growth. Reporting to the CEO, this exciting new position will focus on:

• Developing and delivering a three-year business development strategy to ensure sustainable income growth.

Leuchie is the national respite charity giving families a break from the physical and emotional responsibilities of caring for a loved one. The charity is dedicated to supporting individuals and families living with a neurological condition such as MS, MND, Parkinson’s, and stroke through short respite breaks and outreach services.

Leuchie provides a range of settings that suit the health needs and circumstances of the individual and their family. These include short breaks with 24-hour nursing and care, therapies, social activities, and outings at Leuchie House, accessible self-catering accommodation for all the family, or regular at-home support.

Through innovative partnership working and research, Leuchie is reimagining the delivery of respite as a way of meeting wider health and social care outcomes for the families it supports.

Dorothy is 98 and a carer for her 68-year-old son Robert who has multiple sclerosis. This is what Leuchie means to her - “It gives me a rest and some peace. It also helps me carry on by having something to look forward to.”

There is a growing need to support those living with a neurological condition and their families that Leuchie is determined to respond to. The charity currently supports around 500 families, just like Dorothy and Robert, each year, and has a strategic intent to positively impact ten times as many lives by 2030.

This is a key role in developing and managing high-value corporate partnerships, securing new business support, and driving revenue growth. Leuchie is looking for someone with significant experience in corporate fundraising or business development either from a charity fundraising background or a commercial role focused on income generation. You will be highly skilled in identifying opportunities, securing partnerships, and developing creative campaigns that align with both Leuchie’s mission and corporate partners’ objectives.

Leuchie has significant potential to expand its support from corporate partnerships and you will play a crucial role in strengthening and growing these relationships. You should have a strong track record in securing and stewarding high-value 5 to 6 figure partnerships, negotiating sponsorship deals, and engaging key decision-makers in meaningful collaborations.

You will work closely with the Director of Development and Head of Fundraising, and have the support of a highly engaged leadership team and impressive Board of Trustees. Experience in setting and exceeding income targets, developing corporate engagement strategies, and delivering impact reports to senior stakeholders is essential.

We are looking for an experienced HR professional (Chartered MCIPD or equivalent) with expertise across the full Human Resources and Organisational Development portfolio, including the development of an effective People Strategy. As a values-driven leader, you will lead by example, bringing current knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice. You will also have direct experience of leading a high-performing, customer-focused HR function or team, ensuring excellence in service delivery.

We are looking for an experienced Corporate Fundraiser who enjoys nurturing relationships with donors and partners, and who has the drive to grow and develop new partnerships to benefit children and families in hospital.

As a key member of the Partnerships & Business Development Team, the Senior Corporate Fundraiser will account manage partnerships with organisations from a variety of sectors, implement engagement and fundraising strategies that exceed expectations, and achieve the charity partnership objectives.

As a key member of the Commissioner’s senior management team, the Head of Business Support (HOBS) will lead the delivery of our corporate services, organisational administration, and business management, supporting the Commissioner to achieve his strategic and operational objectives.

You’ll bring:

• Work experience in a relevant discipline
• The necessary skills to manage a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to write for, or speak to, a range of audiences
• Education to degree level (or equivalent level of skill or knowledge)

• Starting salary - £54,792 (gross p.a.) FTE on a scale rising to £65,800 (gross p.a.) FTE
