Position Summary
Full-Time Administrative, replacement position
Reporting directly to the Director, the Training Specialist is accountable for the development, implementation and continuous quality improvement across a range of education workforce training and research projects supporting the activities of the Centre for Health Care Research & Innovation. The Training Specialist adds value to the centre by contributing to research projects, based on subject matter expertise in the field of nursing.
The Training Specialist brings experience and credentials as a Registered Nurse in Ontario and is prepared with strong capabilities in the areas of clinical practice, research, education and leadership. In addition to robust industry experience, the Training Specialist will bring lived experience supporting people living with dementia and their family and friend care partners. The Training Specialist displays creativity and initiative to optimize training and development, to meet the changing needs of the workforce, advancing the college’s strategic expectations for student success, academic and research leadership, operational effectiveness.
Successful candidates will be required to conduct work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus as required. It is anticipated that this position will meet the needs of the department through a hybrid work arrangement, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with three days on-site at the Doon campus located at 299 Doon Valley Dr. in Kitchener, ON and two days remote. Work arrangement and shift are subject to change.
