Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management:
  • Assist in receiving and processing furniture deliveries, ensuring accurate quantity and quality checks.
  • Maintain an organized inventory tracking system to monitor stock levels, update records, and ensure accurate data entry into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Perform regular stock counts and audits to verify inventory accuracy.
  • Report discrepancies or damaged items to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Track outgoing furniture for delivery or dispatch, ensuring proper documentation is recorded.
• Handling & Storing Furniture:
  • Safely unload, move, and store furniture in designated warehouse areas, ensuring careful handling to prevent damage.
  • Organize furniture for easy access and retrieval.
  • Assist in the assembly and disassembly of furniture when required.
  • Pack and prepare furniture for delivery or shipping, ensuring proper labeling and protection.
• Warehouse Operations:
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed.
  • Prepare orders for delivery, including picking, packing, and labeling items according to customer specifications.
• Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, deliveries, and warehouse activities.
  • Provide reports on inventory levels, damaged goods, and discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure timely delivery and resolution of stock-related issues.
• Customer Support:
  • Assist with customer pickups, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics, inventory management, or warehousing is a plus.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory management role, preferably in the furniture industry.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
• Ability to lift and move heavy furniture items safely.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Forklift certification or ability to operate warehouse equipment is a plus.
