About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Finance Assistant to support our finance department with day-to-day financial tasks. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth running of financial operations, including processing transactions, maintaining financial records, and assisting with reporting and budgeting activities.

Responsibilities

1. Manage all accounting transactions, payable receivables, manual journal entries.
2. Ensure timely bank payments, handle all cash related reconciliation, bank, credit card, P card etc.
3. Participate in financial standards setting and forecast process.
4. Publish financial statements in time, balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
5. Assist with the monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
6. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
7. Follow up with the clients on the collection.
8. Assist with the computation of the taxes where applicable and prepare tax returns.
9. Assist with the internal and external audit of the financial transactions and documents.
10. Comply with financial policies and regulations.

Candidate Requirements

1. Work experience as an Accountant.
2. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (IFRS).
3. Hands-on experience with accounting software like Xeros, Zoho.
4. Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
5. Experience with general ledger functions.
6. BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.

Soft Skills:

1. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
2. Good organizational and time-management skills.
3. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.

Location & Commitments

1. Full-time, Contracted.
2. Work 5 days a week (flexibility on days according to project needs), 9 hours a day, including a 1-hour lunch break.
3. Office based - Dubai.
