Job Description
We are looking for a Proposal / Sales Support Specialist with a strong technical background in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Rotating Equipment, Pipeline, Piping, and Valve Systems. Experience in scoping Condition Monitoring solutions will be an advantage. The ideal candidate will support the external sales team by managing the application evaluation stage of the sales process, preparing technical scope of work, requirement specifications, accurate project estimates, and coordinating with partners, suppliers, and internal teams.
The role requires expertise in estimation, proposal development, inside sales coordination, CRM management, technical scope & specification building, BOQ & BOM preparation, negotiation, and technical presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process tender requests.
- Coordinate with partners and suppliers to meet client proposal requirements.
- Issue RFQs (Request for Quotation) to partners/suppliers.
- Prepare compliant quotations and secure internal approvals as per the Delegation of Authority (DOA).
- Submit proposals to customers and address any required clarifications.
- Provide technical insights in preparing accurate project estimates.
- Develop Bill of Quantity (BOQ) & Bill of Materials (BOM) based on client requirements.
- Assist in the development of technical specifications and project scope.
- Conduct technical presentations and meetings with internal teams and clients.
- Initiate business unit account onboarding and compliance checks in CRM, aligning with FinOps customer master.
- Proactively assist the sales team by preparing bid documents, estimates, and sales reports.
- Manage and update the sales pipeline tracker.
- Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for strategic growth.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of sales reports, presentations, and documentation.
Lead Generation & Business Development:
- Assist in lead generation and qualification, ensuring leads are passed to the appropriate sales representatives.
- Engage in client negotiations and maintain strong business relationships.
Desired Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in estimation, proposal development, and sales coordination.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
