Role Overview:
We have partnered with a fast-growing alternative investment manager in Dubai looking to hire a long/short equity portfolio manager for their hedge fund unit. The business has a world-class investment team, spanning multiple asset classes and strategies, as well as plans to scale rapidly.
This expansionary PM hire, reporting directly to the CIO, offers flexibility around sector coverage and investment framework, provided there is sizeable exposure to US Equities (ideally 60%-70%+) in the book, as well as broad sector/sub-sector coverage (ideally within TMT/Consumer), without being too niche.
The ideal candidate will be running a market-neutral strategy, with a DM focus (mostly US Equities) and 3-5+ years of track record as a PM.
Starting book size can range from $100m-$300m+ (depending on experience) and there is scope for any successful PM to eventually hire analysts and build a team, depending on performance.
Additionally, our client offers more flexible risk limits/drawdown limits compared to most multi-strat funds, while also having an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture.
