In this role, you will provide application support, manage incidents, and collaborate with developers to enhance application performance. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, at least three years of experience in application support, strong SQL knowledge, and familiarity with the insurance domain. Job Title: Application Support Engineer - Insurance Domain
Location: Sharjah, UAE
Type: Full-Time
Visa Status: Visa Provided
- Provide day-to-day application support for internal and external users.
- Manage incident responses and escalations, ensuring timely resolutions and clear communication with stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to application performance, user access, and functionality.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and implement solutions for application improvements.
- Monitor application performance and conduct regular health checks.
- Create and maintain documentation for application procedures, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.
- Participate in software upgrades, patches, and migrations as needed.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the development or infrastructure teams as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, security, and data protection regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users to optimize application usage.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is essential.
- At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in application support or a similar technical role is required.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, ERP, Database tools, Oracle, SQL databases, and server environments.
- Experience in Insurance domain.
- Experience in application monitoring tools and service desks.
- Fair amount of experience in data migration etc.
- Proficiency in English and a second language Arabic is a plus.
