Slimming Therapist is responsible for service delivery, in-house revenue generation in slimming services under the general guidance of the Center Manager and in coordination with other slimming specialists such as Physiotherapists & Dieticians. Provide customers with slimming consultations in an effective, excellent, and knowledgeable manner.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct daily slimming sales and operation assessments and monitor every slimming transaction made in the Slimming Department.
2. Provide slimming customers with regular follow-up to evaluate their progress.
3. Work closely with slimming clients for different slimming programs, including weight loss and figure correction plans.
4. Perform body mass analysis and evaluate anthropometric, biochemical, and dietary history to assess client’s nutritional status and nutritional needs.
5. Monitor and advise slimming clients about their dietary activity in line with their slimming program.
6. Ensure that service delivery is 100% as per clinic protocol.
7. Ensure timely completion of Zero Session as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
8. Record client’s measurements at:
   1. Enquiry stage
   2. Zero session stage
   3. After every month for full body
   4. Every session for spot reduction therapies as per SOP.
9. Ensure trolley, bed setting in the therapy and appliance rooms as per the SOP and overall cleanliness of the slimming services area.
10. Lay out and use the products service-wise as per SOP.
11. Ensure to disinfect appliance pads before every session and clean them weekly as per SOP.
12. Deliver expected centimeter loss through scientific service delivery.
13. Immediately highlight any program or medical contraindications seen during the session to the Slimming head.
14. Keep in view and adhere to the Medical Contraindications with respect to Therapies as directed by manager prior to respective client’s session.
15. Check & record the weight of each client on the Client Program Record (CPR).
16. Check & record the weight of each client on Daily Record Register (DRR).
17. Review client’s progress post each session.
18. Provide a minimum of 15 minutes bed-side counseling each week post each slimming session.
19. Recommend need-based slimming treatments for upselling/rebooking.
20. In absence of the physiotherapists, provide customized activity plans to clients.
21. Ensure clients meet the targeted weight loss targets set by the Clinic Manager.
22. Counsel and guide clients facing weight plateaus and suggest appropriate course of action.
23. Responsible for general upkeep of the slimming department. Any dysfunction of appliances to be immediately escalated to manager.
24. Regularly update and correctly complete all related documentation.
25. Ensure documentation is maintained accurately. Prepare and maintain all necessary reports/paperwork on a regular basis.
26. Ensure accuracy and completeness of appointment planner.
27. Ensure accuracy of all relevant financial and operational data is captured, maintained, and reported timely.
28. Ensure related medical problems of clients to be consulted with Manager before starting treatment for proper results.
29. Perform lymphatic massage under the supervision of a physician.
30. Plan and execute indoor and outdoor events timely.
31. Constantly upgrade oneself and multitask to achieve the progression level.
32. Perform outdoor duties in case slimming events are organized beyond center premises.
33. Perform all duties in a professional and confidential manner.

1. Manual Therapy Techniques

1. Swedish Massage: A technique involving long, smooth strokes, kneading, and circular movements to relax and improve circulation.
2. Deep Tissue Massage: Focuses on deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue to relieve chronic pain and muscle tension.
3. Sports Massage: Tailored to athletes, this technique is designed to prevent injuries, enhance flexibility, and relieve soreness after physical activity.
4. Trigger Point Therapy: Focuses on areas of tight muscle fibers that can cause pain elsewhere in the body.
5. Myofascial Release: Targets the fascia (connective tissue surrounding muscles) to reduce stiffness and increase flexibility.

2. Anatomy and Physiology Knowledge

1. Understanding the body: A strong understanding of human anatomy and muscle groups is essential for effectively applying massage techniques to target specific areas of tension or pain.
2. Body mechanics: Knowing how to work with the body in ways that prevent injury to the client and the therapist.

3. Assessment and Evaluation

1. Identifying client needs: Listening to clients’ concerns, assessing muscle tension or pain points, and tailoring the massage based on their needs.
2. Postural analysis: Recognizing posture issues that may contribute to muscle tension and designing sessions to address those issues.

4. Communication Skills

1. Client Interaction: Establishing a comfortable environment for clients, listening to their concerns, and clearly explaining techniques or how the massage will help.
2. Feedback: Encouraging open communication during the session to ensure the pressure is comfortable and the massage is effective.

5. Relaxation and Stress Management Techniques

1. Creating a calming environment: Setting the tone with soft music, lighting, and aromatherapy to promote relaxation.
2. Breathing techniques: Helping clients focus on deep breathing to encourage relaxation during the massage.

6. Customer Service

1. Building rapport: Establishing trust with clients so they feel comfortable and cared for.
2. Confidentiality and professionalism: Maintaining professional boundaries and respecting clients’ privacy during sessions.
