Who You Are

Priority Worldwide is seeking a self-motivating, team-oriented candidate who is an experienced Software Developer. We are looking for a dynamic Software Developer who will play a pivotal role in enhancing the company's operational efficiency and effectiveness through custom software development, data integration, and process improvement. You will be responsible for leveraging data from a plethora of products, services, databases, and other internal systems to create insightful metrics using Power BI. Additionally, you will develop and implement an EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) solution to streamline communication between systems and external partners. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to review internal and external processes to identify gaps where software will be able to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to work schedule: Monday-Friday 9am EST-6pm EST
• Independent Work & Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
• Proactivity: Initiative in identifying tasks, problems, and proposing solutions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication for conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical thinking to break down challenges and design data-driven solutions.
• Organizational Skills: Efficient in managing software development lifecycles and maintaining version control.
• Cloud Service Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud infrastructures (e.g., Azure, AWS) for scalable application deployment.
• Managed Service Provider Understanding: Knowledge of MSP integration with in-house systems for seamless communication and service delivery.
• System Administration: Experience in managing servers, databases, and application environments.
• Network Administration: Ability to work with network configurations to ensure data integrity and security.
• Operating System Proficiency: Experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux for cross-platform software development.
• Cybersecurity Expertise: Strong understanding of secure software development practices and principles.

What you will do

The candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining software solutions that enhance the efficiency of a global logistics organization. We are seeking a tech-savvy Software Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing systems that integrate with existing platforms like CargoWise databases and EDI solutions.

General Responsibilities and job duties:

• Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications; write clean, maintainable code.
• Front-End & Back-End Development: Create user interfaces, server-side logic, and APIs for seamless integration.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure efficient software performance and scalability.
• Agile Collaboration: Participate in Agile/Scrum practices including sprint planning and code reviews.
• Testing & Debugging: Conduct unit and integration testing; identify and resolve software defects.
• System Integration: Integrate third-party services and maintain internal APIs.
• Database Management: Design databases, write optimized queries, and ensure data integrity.
• Cloud & DevOps: Manage cloud infrastructure and automate deployment pipelines.
• Security Compliance: Implement secure coding practices and maintain compliance with security standards.
• Documentation & Maintenance: Create technical documentation and provide ongoing software maintenance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various teams and communicate project status effectively.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with new technologies and optimize the existing codebase.

Benefits and Compensation

Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

• Monthly Salary Range: AED 5000 - AED 15000 depending on experience
