ekar is the Middle East’s first and largest self-drive mobility company, providing users on-demand access to a network of thousands of carshare and subscription leasing vehicles within its ‘Self-Drive Super App’. ekar’s vision is to improve the way people consume transportation and is achieving scale by SaaS-enabling car rental and leasing companies via ekar’s Mobility OS.

The Role

The Graphic Designer will work closely with the marketing team at ekar to create visual imagery and concepts that help in communicating ideas that inspire, inform and captivate consumers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various computer software to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals in such areas as Social media, Performance marketing, Retention marketing, Print Ads etc.
• Obtain input from management and marketing team and ensure designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations.
• Express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately in all designs and collaterals.
• Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects with the marketing team, meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
• Examine existing processes, identify flaws and create solutions to improve design capabilities
• Update and maintain internal databases of designs, photography, and video
• Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams or clients for a wide range of materials that may include web pages, presentations, programming collateral, signage, internal communication, newsletters, and marketing materials
• Translate strategic direction into the high-quality design within an established brand identity

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, or similar discipline
• Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
• 5+ years experience (academic and professional) with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.
• Proven experience with graphic design, with a strong portfolio of work in a multi-channel communicational environment (additional skills in HTML and web design would be appreciated)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
