Job Description

  • Preparing and reviewing invoices for customers and vendors to ensure timely payment.
  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis, identifying trends and discrepancies, and presenting actionable recommendations to management for improved financial performance.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including timely invoicing and follow-up for collections, to optimize cash flow and minimize outstanding debts.
  • Oversee the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations to mitigate financial risks.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance financial accuracy and integrity.
  • Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to streamline financial processes, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance data analysis capabilities.
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
  • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts transactions and maintain transaction records.
  • Provide internal and external auditing services for businesses or individuals.
  • Prepare material requests, collect quotes, and make comparisons before sending LPO to vendors/suppliers.
  • Prepare and verify purchase invoices and delivery notes.
  • Compute taxes owed and prepare VAT returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
  • Reconcile cash flow and cash balance including petty cash management.
  • Reconcile bank statements; accounts receivable and payables.
  • Daily updating of the bank register and related works (such as PDC clearance, CDC posting, bank charges).
  • Maintain inter-company loan records.
  • Prepare payment requests and arrange for cash or cheque release.
  • Prepare invoices and statements of accounts for clients, suppliers, intercompany transactions, and vendors.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, foreign accounting, or other professional qualifications such as ICWA, CMA, or ICA.
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
  • Ability to manage and interpret large amounts of data.
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the relevant field.
