CAMO Compliance Auditor

Based in: Abu Dhabi

Purpose of the position:

Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and standards by monitoring updates, revising checklists, conducting audits, and communicating findings to management. Track and verify corrective actions, maintain accurate audit records, identify trends for process improvement, liaise with regulatory authorities, and protect sensitive information.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor changes in regulations (CAR-M/ CAR 145/ IOSA), airworthiness directives (ADs), service bulletins (SBs), and industry best practices to ensure audit compliance.
• Revise checklists based on regulations (e.g., GCAA, EASA, IOSA etc.), company procedures, and industry best practices.
• Conduct audits of CAMO, Line Maintenance & Base Maintenance Organizations as per Audit Plan.
• Support in communicating audit findings and recommendations to management, highlighting areas of concern and potential risks.
• Monitor corrective actions: Track the implementation of corrective actions taken by the auditee to address identified non-conformities.
• Follow up to ensure that corrective actions have been implemented effectively and have prevented recurrence of the non-conformity.
• Keep accurate and organized records of all audits, including audit plans, checklists, reports, and corrective action documentation.
• Identify trends and patterns in audit findings to improve the processes and procedures.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities as required, such as during regulatory audits.
• Maintain confidentiality: Protect the confidentiality of sensitive information.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree
• A relevant engineering degree or an aircraft maintenance technician qualification with additional education acceptable to the GCAA.
• 1-3+ years of aviation work experience, with at least one year in a compliance environment.
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
• Comprehensive knowledge of CAR-M and CAR-145.
• Knowledge of quality systems and applicable regulations.
• Knowledge of maintenance methods, audit techniques, fuel tank safety, HF principles, EWIS, and CDCCL.
• Aviation auditing course.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
