Experience: 5 years

Location: Dubai

Main Responsibilities:

1. Independently execute in-situ machining activities.
2. Perform machining works in a workshop environment as well as in the field.
3. Perform in-situ machining works on Wärtsilä and other products.
4. Participate in improvements of in-situ machining equipment and products.
5. Participate in technical discussions/communications.
6. Perform workshop services as directed.
7. Report and inform administrative personnel as required.
8. Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
9. Ensure that the work is executed according to QuantiServ and Wärtsilä Quality.
10. Prepare service reports and travel expenses on time and with expected QuantiServ and Wärtsilä quality.
11. Report executed work according to QuantiServ and Wärtsilä standards.
12. Promote QuantiServ and Wärtsilä Products and Services.
13. Safely execute all work according to QuantiServ and Wärtsilä Standards.

Requirements/Qualifications:

1. Degree or Professional Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent educational background.
2. Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial experience with at least 3 years’ experience in in-situ machining.
3. Experienced in using in-situ machining crankpin equipment, reference required.
4. An advanced level of English Language and fluency in other languages is a plus.
5. Experienced in using in-situ line boring, milling, drilling, and lathe equipment, reference required.
6. An advanced level of using MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) and the ability to learn in-house systems for operations and business needs.
7. Experienced in using workshop machines such as manual lathe, milling, and drilling machines.
8. Knowledge in using laser alignment equipment.
9. Use of measuring equipment such as large micrometers.
10. Metal stitching experience is highly recommended.
