Junior Electrical Technician

Required for a Leading Facility Management Company in UAE

Position: Junior Electrical Technician

Job Summary:

The Junior Electrical Technician assists in maintaining, repairing, and inspecting electrical systems within the facility. Under the supervision of senior technicians or engineers, the role supports the day-to-day electrical operations to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency of all electrical equipment and installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in routine inspection and preventive maintenance of electrical systems and equipment (e.g., panels, breakers, lighting, cables)
• Support senior technicians in troubleshooting electrical faults and breakdowns
• Help with installation of wiring, lighting fixtures, sockets, switches, and other electrical components
• Replace damaged or faulty electrical components under supervision
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE while performing tasks
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in good condition
• Document daily tasks and report issues to senior team members
• Participate in on-the-job training to build technical knowledge and skills
• Respond to minor maintenance calls and perform basic repairs as assigned
• Support the maintenance of emergency systems (e.g., UPS, generators, exit lights)

Requirements:

• ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade
• 02 years of experience in electrical maintenance (internship or training acceptable)
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and circuits
• Willingness to learn and take instructions from senior staff
• Ability to work in a team and follow safety protocols
• Good physical condition and willingness to work in various environments

Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory):

• Basic knowledge of tools and measuring instruments (multimeter, testers)
• Ability to read simple electrical drawings or wiring layouts
• Exposure to CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus
• Good attitude, punctuality, and strong work ethic
