The Storeman is responsible for assisting in the picking and packing of orders, checking the items that have been packed, assisting with cycle counts and stock counts, cleaning and maintenance of the shelves, and some ad hoc duties as required. Storemen are responsible for helping to organise products/items in a facility, as well as maintaining accurate inventory and housekeeping.
Main responsibilities:
Coordinate with shipping to ensure all receiving shipments are moving in and out of warehouse as scheduled.
Load and unload trucks and orders.
Generate reports on inventory balance and shortages.
Count merchandise in stock and post totals to inventory records.
Maintain high levels of Housekeeping in the warehouse/work area
