About the Role

• Ensure the safety of personnel through compliance with Workplace Safety & Health Act and other legislations.
• Anchor and manage the safety management system for the entire contract site.
• Manage and process the electronic permit-to-work applications.
• Conduct routine safety audit / inspections.
• Carry out and encourage hazard reporting.
• Organize safety education program such as training, talks, and other activities which will develop and maintain the interest of the persons employed on the site so as to establish a safe and healthy working environment.
• Report and Investigate any incidents or accidents that take place within the site and recommend corrective action needed to be taken to prevent recurrence.
• Document all safety violations or unsafe conditions/activities; ensures corrective measures are immediately implemented; follows through to ensure corrections have been made.
• Stay abreast of current and emerging technical and professional aspects of this position.
• Prepare monthly report and presentation related to WSH matters.
• Any other work assigned by Superior from time to time due to work requirement.

About You

• Possess WSH-related qualifications such as: Degree in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and other recognised qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years of practical experience relevant to work performed by WSHO in building construction and works of engineering construction.
• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
• Well versed in HSE regulations and practices.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to a changing business environment.
