Objectives of the position: Development and Support (DevOps) of Project “New Planning Landscape”, Integration & Interfaces Squad to understand and challenge the functional requirements and implement them in SAP environments as well as cloud-based environments also working in an agile way within a virtual global team.

Responsibilities:

1. Understand the current implementation of SCM developments within SAP APO and SAP ERP.
2. Shape BASF’s future planning landscape by moving existing planning processes into cloud-based planning tools by building sustainable interfaces.
3. Develop, maintain & monitor interfaces for different on-premise and cloud integration scenarios.
4. Evaluate new requirements in close collaboration with other teams (e.g. SAP Basis, Cyber Security).
5. Bring in new ideas/solutions as well as focusing on existing code’s quality (refactoring, restructuring & optimizing).
6. Living end-to-end responsibility, being able to adapt to new requirements and learning new technologies within a virtual global agile team (Scrum).

Requirements:

1. Degree in Computer Science, informatics, business informatics or in a comparable field.
2. Proficient in at least one programming language: Python, R, C#, …
3. Excellent communication skills in English.
4. Good knowledge & understanding of cloud-based solutions and integration scenarios connecting via Middleware (e.g. Kafka, SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO).
5. Knowledge related to Web Services (REST, SOAP), Streaming technologies (Kafka) and/or API development.
6. Good understanding of security implications when setting up cloud solutions.
7. Openness to new trends and innovative solutions.
8. SAP ABAP (OO) (Nice to have).
9. Supply Chain Planning process knowledge.
10. Automated Testing.
11. Version Management (Git).
12. Basic Understanding of Data Modeling / Data Science & Databases.
13. Experience with using Web services in SAP environments (Proxy, Web service, OData, …) & SAP CPI.
