PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- In charge of applying global industrial relations policies and processes, ensuring consistency within your perimeter as well as compliance with international or local rules.
- Negotiate with Unions local agreements.
POSITION IN THE ORGANISATION
Organisation structure: Human Resources/ Industrial relations
Reports directly to: Industrial Relations Specialist

- Unions’ local sections (services).
ACCOUNTABILITIES & AUTHORITIES
Key accountabilities:
Within perimeter:
- Apply industrial relations policy and orientations to his/her manager.
- Communicate throughout the HR network and apply the validated policies.
- Monitor industrial relations action plans.
- Coordinate actions with the appropriate HR dimensions in case of crisis or major issues.
- Benchmark industrial relations practices in other companies/industries.
Individual monitoring (Services area):
- Ensure monitoring of local compliance when industrial relations actions are needed at the Services area.
- Apply guidance and challenge options developed locally to reduce group exposure and mitigate risks.
- Develop an industrial relations network to ensure consistency.
- Provide guidance and support in collective issues with employees.
Company advisor:
- Support company plans preparation.
- Apply specific and tactical plans.
- Provide guidance and support in collective issues with employees.
Group public image:
- Advise and contribute to internal and external communication in industrial relations-related matters.
- Ensure consistency of practice and compliance with defined regulation and strategy and follow up on legal regulations evolution in the perimeter.
Restructuring:
- Ensure consistency and equity among initiatives.
- Support the perimeters in building, negotiating, and implementing collective termination plans.
EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES & REQUIRED COMPETENCES
Educational Requirements:
Mandatory:
- University degree, majoring in law or human resources.
- Several years of experience as HR in a factory/site.
- Confirmed industry experience.
Experience:
Mandatory:
- Experience of complex negotiations/consultations.
- Solid understanding, knowledge & experience in HR Management tools, policies, processes & best practices.
- Knowledge of the local labor laws.
- Intermediate English; any other language skills may be of advantage.
- Business acumen.
- Human Resources background.
- Specific skills, such as negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and leadership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Initiative and action-driven.
- An understanding of specific industrial relations needs and challenges related to a company’s collective bargaining agreement and business strategy.
- Analytic thinking, rigorous mindset.
- Strength in situation leadership, ethics, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and cultural competency.
