Service Engineer - Chillers / cooling systems

We are recruiting a Sr. Service Engineer for our international client, a global leader in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of innovative cooling solutions. With more than 60 years of experience, our client offers a comprehensive range of products and systems that leverage cutting-edge technology, IoT connectivity, and intelligent control software with a focus on industrial water systems for the plastics and food and beverage industry.

The Sr. Service Engineer will report directly to the S&S Manager for LATAM and the Service Manager North America, working in the field and assuring a relationship based on trust with clients, as well as increasing the presence and positioning of the company.

MISSIONS

1. Perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs of chillers, temperature control systems, and related equipment.
2. Collaborate with the technical support team to develop and implement effective solutions for complex issues.
3. Utilize technical documentation, manuals, and schematics to assist in equipment repair and maintenance processes.
4. Provide training and support to junior technicians and customers on proper equipment usage and maintenance.
5. Keep accurate records of service visits, equipment repairs, and maintenance activities.
6. Collaborate with the quality and engineering teams to provide feedback for product improvement and innovation.
7. Stay up to date with the latest equipment and troubleshooting information.
8. Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability of the equipment.
9. Communicate with customers in a professional manner, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services.

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
2. Proven track record of at least 5 years in a similar role, handling refrigeration and temperature control equipment troubleshooting and repair.
3. Full knowledge of industrial refrigeration processes will be seen as a plus.
4. Ability to read electrical/mechanical/plumbing drawings and logic manuals.
5. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the capacity to handle complex technical challenges effectively.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing high levels of self-motivation and initiative.
7. Availability and willingness to travel to various customer sites in Mexico and Central America when required (50-70% of the time).
8. Proficient in reading and writing in English, with conversational English skills as a plus.
