Freelance Mechanical Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Freelance Mechanical Site Manager / Project Manager (PM) to oversee the successful delivery of complex mechanical projects, ensuring smooth execution, timely completion, and the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of mechanical projects on site, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
• Coordinate and oversee mechanical installations, ensuring all work complies with technical specifications, industry regulations, and safety standards.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth and effective project execution.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to site teams and subcontractors to ensure high standards of performance.
• Ensure all project documentation is up to date and accurate, including risk assessments, method statements, and progress reports.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise on-site, minimizing disruption to project timelines.
• Enforce and ensure the highest standards of health and safety across all projects.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager or Project Manager in the construction or engineering industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and installations (HVAC, piping, ventilation, etc.).
• Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Experience leading, motivating, and managing teams of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results.
• Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Project Management (e.g., HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent).
• A valid CSCS card and health and safety qualifications (SMSTS, First Aid, etc.) are desirable.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
