The Opportunity

A leading residential developer is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee multiple large-scale housing developments (250+ units) across Kent, with sites located from Herne Bay to Dartford. The projects will involve a mix of traditional and timber frame builds.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Freelance Site Manager to take the lead on prestigious projects with a highly respected developer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

• Supervise subcontractors, site teams, and trades while maintaining quality and efficiency.

• Ensure strict health & safety compliance and promote a safe working environment.

• Manage site logistics, materials procurement, and overall project delivery.

• Ensure adherence to building regulations, NHBC standards, and project specifications.

• Provide regular updates to senior management and clients on project progress and site performance.

• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges that arise on-site.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager with a focus on large residential developments (250+ units).

• Strong understanding of traditional and timber frame construction methods.

• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.

• In-depth knowledge of NHBC standards, building regulations, and health & safety practices.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

• Ability to deliver projects autonomously, managing both subcontractors and suppliers effectively.
