A leading educational provider in Stroud is looking for a part-time Waking Nights care assistant to join their team. You will be responsible for providing personal care, assisting with eating, drinking, and mobility for students with special needs. The role requires a level 3 qualification in health and social care. The company values professional development and offers various benefits including on-site parking, low-cost lunches, and a joining reward after successful completion of probation.
St Rose's provision is from 2 to 25 years; a nursery, a non-maintained special school for students from 5 to 19 and St Martin’s an independent specialist college for students from 19 to 25. Our students have physical and sensory disabilities, learning and communication difficulties and complex health needs.
Due to an increase in the numbers of children and young people joining us at our residential school and college, we have a part time Waking Nights care assistant position available with shifts that include weekends. This role includes providing personal care, assisting with eating and drinking and moving and handling. You will work closely with other care professionals to create a safe and supportive environment that promotes the independence and dignity of our young people. A level 3 qualification in health and social care is required, if you don’t already have this qualification you will need to commence the course once you have joined us.
St Rose’s is an inspiring, stimulating and rewarding place to work, where new challenges abound. We have a strong commitment to support staff in continuing their professional development, and we offer many ways to achieve this. Our staff enjoy a strong sense of community and professional support, as well as a lively and cheerful environment to work in. In addition, there are many other benefits for staff, including a central Stroud location with easy access to buses and trains; on-site parking, attractive grounds, low-cost lunches and subsidised nursery places. We are also offering a joining reward of £100 after the successful completion of 6 months’ probation and a further £100 after the first year of employment. More details of all our benefits can be found in the application pack for candidates.
Candidates will require an enhanced DBS check and two satisfactory references prior to taking up the post. Applications should be made by application form only. CV’s will not be accepted.
For an informal conversation about these positions, or to visit, please contact either Jo Pearch, Lead Nurse/Care Manager or Scott Townson, Trainee Care Manager. To apply for this position, you must have a good understanding and use of written and spoken English. Please note: we are not able to offer sponsorship.
