The Production Manager is responsible for all aspects of executing the assembly, testing, and shipping of ITAC's Power Systems Products. The Production Manager "owns" the shop production process, communicates job status to the Project Managers, and reports to the Director of Power Systems. The specific responsibilities include the following:
Describe the Supervision the Incumbent Receives:
The Production Manager reports directly to the Director of Custom Machinery. The Production Manager is required to complete tasks with little to no supervisory contact or involvement. Assistance and direction are given on an as needed basis and when schedules and/or policies and procedures are not clear or in conflict.
Describe The Supervision the Job Incumbent Exercises Over Subordinates:
He/She is not required to perform any supervisory exercises over any subordinates. He/she is responsible for accuracy, quality, and timeliness of his/her performance.
Employee Safety Responsibility:
The Production Manager is required to obey safety rules and to exercise caution in all work activities. The Production Manager position is responsible for immediately reporting any unsafe condition or “near miss” incident. In the case of accidents that result in injury, regardless of how insignificant the injury may appear, the Production Manager should immediately notify the EHS Manager or the appropriate supervisor.
Other Important Information About This Job:
He/She must be able to work well with others. Overtime is sometimes required on given tasks. Complete confidentiality and honesty are a must.
