Production Manager
Glenrothes and Livingston

Summary of Role:

We are recruiting for a Production Manager based on-site in our Glenrothes and/or Livingston facilities, in a working environment where everyone can grow and contribute as part of a successful, inclusive, high performing culture. The Production Manager will be a key leading figure within a customer-focussed cross-functional team and will be responsible for the manufacture of a range of electronic and electro-mechanical products, managing a team of Production Supervisors, Associates and Engineers. Driving excellent teamwork and flawless execution in delivery, quality, safety, and cost.

Main Duties:

1. Control Account Manager (CAM) for the Manufacturing function
2. Control of touch labour Hours Per Unit, and other manufacturing budgets
3. Development and execution of production plans to achieve customer on-time delivery
4. Management of high mix, and frequently changing priorities using Lean Manufacturing concepts
5. Employee Performance Development
6. Ownership of all safety procedures
7. Driver of process and quality improvements utilising RTX CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence)
8. Based on-site in Glenrothes and/or Livingston facilities, the Production Manager is expected to attend and support at both sites, depending on product requirements

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

1. Experience in a Production Management, Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Operations related role
2. Qualified to Degree or Diploma level in a Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Operations related discipline

Desirable:

1. Experience in an Electronics / Electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
2. Experience in management of budget versus bid
3. Highly effective people management skills
4. Highly effective organisational and communication skills
5. A highly effective, disciplined approach in the work environment
6. Experience in using SAP / shopfloor control systems
7. Experience in EVMS (Earned Value Management System)
