Job Description

Position: Structural Technician

Location: Bristol

Salary: £35K - £45K

The small/medium sized consultancy I am working with is seeking a talented Structural Technician to join the team. As a Structural Technician, you will collaborate closely with the engineering team to produce detailed drawings, models, and documentation for various projects.

Experience in Revit will be helpful but not a must. This is something the business will be able to help you develop. You will get exposure to a vast range of projects, providing a great opportunity to broaden your experience!

Responsibilities:

1. Generates accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using Revit software.
2. Collaborates with engineers to develop structural designs and solutions.
3. Prepares detailed drawings and documentation for construction projects.
4. Assists in the coordination of project requirements with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
5. Ensures compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
6. Participates in project meetings and provides technical support as needed.
7. Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality in design processes.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
2. Proven experience as a Structural Technician or similar role.
3. Understanding of Autodesk Revit software.
4. Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and construction practices.
5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
7. Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
8. Familiarity with other design software such as AutoCAD is a plus.
